Now is the perfect time to transform into a new you. Unwind into the joyful, rejuvenated and refreshed being that you truly are.
Welcome to this online course Shedding Your Old Skin for spring. I’m so excited to be sharing this sacred movement practice with you.
We start with the Basic Breath of Life — Belly, Ribs, Chest.
Then we will add the head movements.
Snakes shed their skins from their head down to their tails so we will follow the serpentine wisdom to shed the old layers that bind us.
And what better way than to let go of the head first, releasing the constraints of the mind so that Spirit may reside more fully in the body.
Therefore finding more satisfaction with our true nature known as the SELF.
This is not a movement practice that is focused on externals such as what you look like but based on the internal eternal timeless self. So we want to let go of any need or desire to try too hard or to be in control. These gentle movements will bring profound results by simply being present to ourself in this very moment.
For indeed, all we ever have is the moment – so we begin moment by moment, breath by breath, allowing for the freshness of this to bring us to contentment.
The breath as the element of air is the invisible magic of the connecting thread to all life. So as we are doing this practice continuously bring your awareness back to the breath. And if you need a stronger reminder of this then remember to focus on the SSS sound of the Snake Breath. It is a releasing breath and will assist you in letting go.

We are letting go of so many things: fear, judgment, control, exhaustion, confusion, pain, negative thinking, emotional baggage – you name it – but whatever it – the Big IT – is, just for the moment let it go and Breathe with me. Breathe this Breath of Life that is you – the real You the sum total of You!
These easy and gentle, yet powerful movements will bring new life to your being, restoring creativity and intuition.
Meditation Tip – Breathing Light
Let’s embody our natural radiance through the breath.
It’s simple.
Inhale light. Exhale dark, like smoke.
Inhale through the nose with the mouth closed.
Each time you inhale visualize breathing in clear sparkling white diamond light.
Exhale through the mouth on a long slow hiss…SSSS… like a snake…
Each time you exhale visualize breathing out dark gray smoke.
You can use this Snake Breath throughout the movement practice.
It will take you very quickly into a sweet state of being.
Beauty Tip – New Skin of Light
This is an old-fashioned beauty masque that I learned from my grandma.
Egg whites are full of protein and minerals that will breathe new life into a tired face.
A bowl of light with egg whites.
Apply to freshly cleansed face with the back of a spoon.
Quickly apply several layers to get it to the thickness and consistency that you desire to make it feel like a masque.
Let sit and firm up for approximately 15 minutes.
Space in and daydream.
Enjoy the process.
Rinse off with lukewarm water and then several cold water rinses.
And voilá! Beautiful new skin!
Apply rosewater toner and your favorite face créme. Now you are ready for foundation and makeup.
Diet Tip – Coconut Water – Drinking Light
This is my new favorite way to hydrate my whole body. I love the taste and color. It’s like drinking liquid light!
There are several brands to choose from. Experiment and find the one you like best. There is also coconut water kefir.
Drop that energy drink! Here’s why you might want to drink coconut water instead:
1. It prevents dehydration.
Coconut water helps maintain the body’s fluid levels and its potassium content helps maintain water pressure within cells and blood. In developing countries where clean water is scarce, coconut water can be life-saving and save people suffering from diarrhea, dysentery, or cholera.
2. It fuels your brain and muscles.
Due to its electrolyte content, coconut water improves nervous system function and nerve transmission. It also helps prevent muscle spasms and cramps.
3. It fights aging.
Coconut water contains a compound called cytokinin, which protects cells from aging and cancer.
4. It aids digestion.
Improves digestion and metabolism through bioactive enzymes. It can also aid the absorption of food
5. It supports immune function.
Its Lauric acid content is anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral. It boosts the immune system in fighting infection whilst helping to eradicate intestinal worms and candida.
